Ohio educators worked in close collaboration with Educopia over a three-year period to develop and refine a performance-based assessment for Resident Educators based on key Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession.

The Ohio Department of Education leads the Resident Educator Program, which is a multi-year induction program that provides support for new teachers and includes the Ohio Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA).

TeachForward

TeachForward provides customized teacher development support to states and districts. TeachForwards’s advanced software platform hosts performance-based assessment for certification and licensure, teacher coaching and observation, online professional learning communities (PLCs) for collaborative feedback, and professional development resources for teachers and administrators. TeachForward is the developer and administrator of the RESA and serves as the technology provider for this initiative.
